The Ones No One Wants

Admitting you like a sad song is not the easiest thing to do (at least for me). To find sounds that don't necessarily bring you down- but reach out with emphatic pulses that remind you that other people are out there, and they have hearts that beat like yours...it can be startling. Those kinds of songs usually don't make mixtapes, 'cause they say a little too much. The listener might misinterpret the maker's message. Sometimes their words match up with the ones that hide under your tongue. Sometimes the notes hit a pitch that makes your sighs sound like harmonies. Its hard to admit that you like the songs no one wants.
