My two favourite songwriters right now,
Chad VanGaalen and
Phil Elevrum are similar in style, but not content. Both artists are self-produced, and record much of their songs in their homes, and all of their instruments are played soley by them on record (as far as I know). One has lyrics based largely on dreams, while the other has heady every/any day experiences. One has his head in the clouds, the other's feet are rooted firmly on the ground- which is which?
